5784 High Holy Day Children's Services
We look forward to celebrating the High Holy Days with your family! All children's services will be held outside under the tent at First Church Jamaica Plain, at 6 Eliot Street.

Children's services will be split into two age groups, 0-5 and 6-12. They will take place on Rosh Hashanah Day 1 (Saturday, September 16) and on Yom Kippur morning (Monday, September 25). These outdoor experiences will include music, prayers, stories and other activities to introduce children to the themes of the High Holy Days. These services are designed to engage children and family members. We also encourage older children to join the main services their grown-ups are attending.

You are welcome to register for children's services without registering for our main services. If you wish to attend our main services, we warmly welcome you, and separate registration is required.

The Nehar Shalom COVID committee, ritual committee, and board have been working hard to balance safety, accessibility, and connection during this time. We hope that this plan will meet as many of our community’s needs as possible, and we will remain flexible in response to changing information about COVID and our community. Our full COVID policy, which is updated regularly, is available here.

For our High Holiday Services we rely on community support. We are asking everyone who registers for services to sign up here for a volunteer shift, if you are able.

We do welcome, encourage, and appreciate donations to support and sustain this holy community. Please consider making a donation this holiday season!
